“No Time to Waste” -W.O.M Poem for March 2021
This is yet another poem inspired by WORD OF THE MONTH, an online event run by children’s writer and poet David L Harrison. The word for March 2021 is time. I only came up with this poem today 17th March. I’m usually fast but this time the W.O.M. poem took more time (pun intended).
No Time to Waste
Make haste
No time to waste
Life is leaking
through your fingers
Don’t raise your hands
to heaven
to ask
to plea
to complain
The time you were given
is here
Don’t waste
your time
your words
your life
Make haste
Take life
into your own hands
and hurry
to make things happen
before
your whole world
falls asleep
